Based on the wiring diagram,
check whether the continuity and
grounding of each harness is OK.
Vary the thermo-sensitive part
temperature and check the resist-
ance between the terminals
Changes of the resistance con-
tinuous and smooth.
Normal

Check the resistance between
terminals 1 and 4 of the TPS.

Check the resistance between
terminals 4 and 2 with the engine
idling after throttle-valve opening
warm-up.
Check for changes of the resist-
ance between terminals 4 and 2
when the throttle valve is
operated from the idling position
to the fully open position.

Changes of the resistance con-
tinuous and smooth.
Normal

Replace the oil-
temperature sensor
Damaged or discon-
Replace the TPS.

Readjust the TPS in-
