Cautions for Document Jams, Paper Jams, and Paper Out during Copying
Follow the steps below if document jams, paper jams, or paper out occur during
copying when [Uncollated] is set for [Output].
Document Jams
1.
Remove the jammed document according to the displayed message.
2.
Sort the output and remove white papers if they exist.
3.
Check the number of output printed last.
If the number of output is lacking, reload only the relevant pages, specify the number
of output, and start copying.
4.
Reload all of the unscanned pages.
5.
Check the copy settings and start copying.
Paper Jams
1.
Remove the jammed paper according to the displayed message.
The machine automatically starts copying when the jammed paper is removed.
Paper Out
1.
Supply papers according to the displayed message.
The machine automatically starts copying when papers are supplied.

Paper Selection for Fax Reception

This section explains the selection of paper for printing out documents received by fax.
When a document is received, the paper for printing it is selected by the following
process:
Step 1: Selection of Candidate Paper Types for Printing
Paper types which are suitable options for printing are selected, based on the page size
of the received document.
Of the paper types set in the machine, those which are not suitable options are
excluded, leaving the remainder as available options.
The conditions for paper types to be excluded as options are as follows:
• Paper which is narrower than the A4 SEF width (210 mm) (NOTE 1)
• Paper other than plain paper
• Paper set in tray 5 (bypass tray)
• Paper set in a tray that has been set as unavailable
