Module Replacement Procedure

Preparation for module replacement
Complete the following items prior to the module replacement.
1.
Checking operations of a new module
Perform the unit test of the new safety remote I/O module.

Setting station numbers of the new module
Set station numbers of the new safety remote I/O module.

Module replacement procedure
1.
Powering off the safety remote I/O module
Turn off the module power supply and the external power supply of the safety remote I/O module to be replaced.
2.
Removing the terminal block
Remove the terminal block of the safety remote I/O module to be replaced with wires connected.

Removing the module
Remove the safety remote I/O module to be replaced from the DIN rail.

Mounting the new module
Mount the new safety remote I/O module on the DIN rail. When using an extension module, connect the extension module to
the safety remote I/O module and mount the safety remote I/O module on the DIN rail.
5.
Installing the terminal block
Connect the removed terminal block with wires to the new module.

Powering on the safety remote I/O module
Stop the CPU module and turn on the module power supply and the external power supply of the safety remote I/O module.
7.
Parameter setting
Set the module parameters of the safety remote I/O module in the engineering tool.

Checking the entire system
According to the manuals of the CPU module and the master module, check the entire system for wiring, the station number
switch setting, and others.
9.
Safety remote I/O module validation
Enable the module parameters of the safety remote I/O module.

Change the status of the CPU module to RUN.
