FLYWHEEL
REMOVAL
Remove the left crankcase cover (page 12-3).
Hold the flywheel [1] using the special tool and loosen
the flywheel bolt [2].
TOOL:
[3] Flywheel holder
Remove the flywheel bolt and washer [4].
Remove the flywheel [1] using the special tool.
TOOL:
[2] Rotor puller
INSTALLATION
Inspect the woodruff key [1] for scratch, damage,
abnormal wear and deformation.
Replace if necessary.
Clean any oil off from the crankshaft taper area [2].
Install the flywheel [1] while aligning the woodruff key
on the crankshaft with flywheel keyway.
Apply engine oil to the flywheel bolt [2] threads and
seating surface.
Install the washer [3] and flywheel bolt.
