RealPresence Collaboration Server (RMX) 1500/2000/4000 Administrator's Guide
Conferences hosted on the RMX can include a mix of existing end points (that do not
support TIP) and CTS endpoints.
TIP-enabled endpoints must support TIP Version 7 or higher. Calls from endpoints
supporting older versions of TIP will be rejected.
Deployment Architectures
The following multipoint topologies are given as examples. Actual deployments will
depend on user requirements and available infrastructure:
•
•
Single Company Model - Polycom and Cisco Infrastructure
The deployment architecture in Figure I-1 shows a company that has a mixture of Polycom
and Cisco endpoints, room systems and telephony equipment that needs to enable
multipoint calls between all its video and audio endpoints using the RMX as the conference
bridge.
As show in
conferences using the TIP protocol, Polycom endpoints connected to the same conferences
using SIP protocol.
