Probable Cause
Vertical encoder error.
- Carriage lock
- Power off
- Harness defective
- Vertical encoder reading defective
Short circuit, condensation
Transport belt dirty (ink splatter)
High Voltage Power Pack disconnected
Waste ink tank full.
The feeler of full sensor for the waste ink
tank is out of position.

Switch the printer off.
Open the top cover.
Check the transport roller for foreign
objects, paper scraps and remove them.
Reset the duplex unit, reverse guide
plate.
Switch the printer off/on.
Check the condition of the transport belt
surface.
Disconnect the printer from the power
source and allow the belt to dry at room
temperature

Switch the printer off.
Open the top cover.
- Any strange noises?
- Any foreign objects?
Duplex unit installed correctly?
- Reverse guide plate installed correctly?
- Vertical motor harness connected?
- If vertical motor harness is connected, replace
the harness.
Vertical motor driver defective?-> Replace PSU
- Vertical drive mechanism defective (gears,
etc. damaged) -> Replace damaged parts
Check the condition of the transport belt
surface.
Disconnect the printer from the power source
and allow the belt to dry at room temperature
Clean the transport belt
- Reconnect connector.
- Replace the High Voltage Power Pack, DC
relay board, transport unit.
Replace the waste ink tank located below the
maintenance unit.
Replace the waste ink tank below the left ink
suction vent.
Replace the left ink suction unit
Switch the printer off/on
Replace the maintenance unit.
Replace the carriage
