2 At the front of the equipment rack, support the switch while you remove the rack-mounting screws
holding the front mounting brackets in place against the rack post.

3 Remove the screws holding the front mounting brackets to the sides of the switch, and set the
mounting brackets aside.
4 Support the front and back of the switch as you slide the switch back, off the rear mounting
brackets, and out of the rack (see the figure below).
