3.1.12 Number of Paths Supported in HDLM

number of paths per LU, and total number of paths supported in HDLM.

The following shows the range of values that can be assigned to LUNs:
• Hitachi USP: From 0 to 1023
• Universal Storage Platform V/VM or Virtual Storage Platform: From 0 to
2047
Note that the range of values supported by HDLM is from 0 to 255. Therefore, do
not assign an LU whose LUN is 256 or greater.

3.1.13 Virtual Environments Supported by HDLM

HDLM supports the following virtual environments:
• HVM where the server virtualization mechanism is mounted on a
BladeSymphony blade server
• Xen
If you choose to use Xen, make sure that HDLM is installed in domain0.
