Power Button and Push Rod–HP-qualified personnel only
CAUTION! The following procedures require that you perform a shutdown, turn off the
disk array, and make it inaccessible. Check with the system administrator before
proceeding.
To replace the power button and push rod (see
1.
Remove the
Backplane
2.
Grasp the power button with pliers and pull out to remove the power button.
3.
Locate and carefully remove the spring from the power button housing on the front of the enclosure.
4.
Slide the push rod to the rear.
5.
Reassemble in the reverse order, holding the push rod while sliding on the spring and then snapping
the power button onto the push rod. Note the following:
The rear of the push rod is angled downward to fit the switch on the backplane assembly.
The spring fits between the front of the enclosure and the power button.
The clock hand on the power button should point upward.
