Use at a workstation to

operations can be performed with the file or directory
Modify the owner of a file or directory
View or modify the search mode of executable files to determine how the
program uses search drives when looking for a file
Allows you to set:
Confirmation defaults when
you modify files
File attributes
Notification if extended
attributes are lost
Allows you to permanently remove
deleted files from the system.
Allows you to retrieve deleted files
that have not been purged.
