a. Remove the air baffle .
b. Remove the midplane drive cage .

a. Open the DIMM slot latches (callout 1).
b. Lift the DIMM out of the slot (callout 2).

11. If removing the DIMM from DIMM slot 7–12, remove the PDB for power supplies 3 and 4:
a. Disconnect the cables from the PDB for power supplies 3 and 4.
b. Loosen the PDB captive screw (callout 1), and then remove the PDB from the cage (callout 2).
12. Remove the DIMM.
a. Open the DIMM slot latches (callout 1).
b. Carefully slide the DIMM from the slot under the max performance heatsink (callout 2).
