Seat Options

Risk of injury if the power wheelchair tips over!
Before driving up slopes or over obstacles, a
tilted seat must be lowered to its basic posi-
tion, the lift seat must be in its lowest position,
and the back must be in the upright position.
Slightly tilt the seat to the rear when driving
down inclines or obstacles and reduce the
speed (max. 3 km/h / 1.9 m/h).

Risk of pinching or crushing the fingers! Do not
reach into the danger zone between the frame
and the seat when tilting the seat. There must
not be any interfering objects or obstacles in
the tilting area.

Overloading the actuators can result in spindle
nut breakage and thus cause the seat to drop
or the backrest to fold back.
nOTE!
It is easier to tilt the seat, if the backrest is
inclined to the rear.

nOTE!
The seat function actuators are not designed
for continuous operation but for short-term
loads only (10% operation, 90% idle time).
General recommendation: At maximum load,
10 seconds of operation should be followed by
90 seconds of idle time. In this regard, the
electric seat functions are considered inde-
pendently of the driving function.
nOTE!
When getting into or out of the power wheel-
chair, bring the seat to a level position.
8.1.1 Lift Seat function
The C1000 can be optionally equipped with a lift seat.
The lift seat function allows the seat to be raised by up
to 40 cm / 15.7 in using a motor. The keypad module (see
fig. 37) or joystick in the "additional function" mode is
used to control this function.
The drive function remains available even when the seat
is raised. As soon as the lift seat leaves the lowest posi-
tion, the speed is reduced (creep speed) because the
power wheelchair is less tip-resistant. This is indicated
by the flashing "Drive" LED on the control panel.
