the speed, acceleration and deceleration values to the
individual wishes of the user.
7.3.4 Indoor Mode and Outdoor Mode
In the indoor mode, the steering linkage is uncoupled
from the rear wheels' steering axles. Steering takes place
through the control of the drive wheels, and the power
wheelchair is able to turn on the spot. When being in this
mode, the maximal speed is reduced.
For switching from the drive mode to the additional func-
tions, hold the key "M" depressed for approx. 2 seconds.
The first LED of the speed level indicator will light up. By
moving the joystick forwards, an additional actuator con-
nects the steering axles to the steering linkage. As soon
as the end position is reached, the control automatically
switches back to the drive mode. The power wheelchair
is now ready for outdoor use with Servotronic.
In the outdoor mode, the rear wheels are controlled by a
servo-motor in accordance with the joystick deflection.
This improves the directional stability. The turning radius
increases to approximately 2.5 m / 98 in. Certain driving
situations, however, require higher manoeuvrability. For
switching from the drive mode to the additional functions,
hold the key "M" depressed for approx. 2 seconds. When
the first LED of the speed indicator is lit and the joystick
is deflected to the rear, the additional actuator discon-

nects the steering linkage from the steering axles and the
rear wheels can rotate freely again.
7.3.5 "Battery capacity" LEDs
The "Battery Capacity" LEDs display the remaining bat-
tery capacity. The display is always illuminated when driv-
ing.
The capacity is indicated with 7 segments. Each segment
represents approximately 14 % of the total capacity. At a
total range of approximately 35 km /21.7 m over even ter-
rain, each segment corresponds to a range of approxi-
mately 5 km / 3.1 m when the speed is kept constant.

Immediately after switching the power wheel-
chair on, the battery indicator shows the
battery capacity saved before the wheelchair
was switched off the last time. The exact
