8.1.4 Preparing Power Wheelchairs with Back
Angle Adjustment for Transport
To obtain the folding size, the following must be done with
the back angle adjustment:
Release the cross bolt at the lower end of the drive

unit (by pushing up the lever, see arrow in fig. 30).
Remove the bolt from the holding device.

Remove the side panels and fold down the back

part onto the seat bottom.

To put a power wheelchair with back angle adjustment
into operation:
Unfold the backrest.

Insert the cross bolt at the end of the drive unit into

the holding device.
Push down the lever to lock the bolt (see fig. 30).

Verify that the bolt and lock of the back angle
adjustment are secure!

8.1.5 recaro Seat
The C1000 can be equipped with different Recaro
models.
To adjust the back angle of a Recaro
the turning handle on the right or left side of the backrest.
DAngEr!
When standing still, the backrest may be
inclined to the rear up to 30° only. During
driving on level ground, the backrest may be
inclined to the rear up to 20° only.
