Batteries

The standard version of the C1000 power wheelchair
includes two low-maintenance 12 V wet cell batteries.
nOTE!
The liquid level in the batteries must be
checked on a monthly basis and be topped up
with distilled water if required.
The batteries are located under the seat of the power
wheelchair. For maintenance work and for mounting/
removing the batteries, the C1000 power wheelchair has
a battery drawer (fig. 20).

To check the batteries, proceed as follows:

nOTE!
When checking the power wheelchair's
batteries, make sure the power wheelchair is
standing on level ground.
nOTE!
Before doing any maintenance work on the
batteries, please read the battery manufac-
turer's warnings thoroughly!
1. Push the release bolt of the battery drawer
upwards.
The release bolt is located in a recess in the front
covering (see fig. 21).
