Risk of injury if the power wheelchair tips over!
Before driving up slopes or over obstacles, a
tilted seat must be lowered to its basic posi-
tion, the lift seat must be in its lowest position,
and the back must be in the upright position.
Slightly tilt the seat to the rear when driving
down inclines or obstacles and reduce the
speed (max. 3 km/h / 1.9 m/h).

For safe operation, please also observe the
information in section 2.3 General Safety
Instructions and in section 2.5 Safety Require-
ments for Operation.
To fold down the backrest, use the release handle that is
located laterally at the backrest. By pulling the release
handle upward, the backrest can be folded down to the
front. If the backrest is brought into its initial position, it
automatically locks in place. Verify that the backrest is
securely locked in place every time it has been unlocked.
®
The Recaro
seat can be equipped with an electric back
angle adjustment. The control in the "additional function"
mode is used to control this function.

With the Recaro ® LT backrest, the lateral guide in the
lumbar section can be individually adjusted by turning the
hand wheel. Turning the wheel to the front brings the two
lateral guides closer to each other evenly. Turning the
wheel to the rear adjusts the two lateral guides away
from each other.
Seat Bottoms
The seat bottom types X and W have a telescoping pad-
ding section at the front. The lever used to adjust the pad-
ding section is located below the seat bottom. Pull the
lever up to shift the padding section into the desired posi-
tion. The padding section locks in place as soon as the
adjustment lever is released. The adjustment lever must
audibly lock in place and return to its initial position.
headrest
A fixed height of the headrest can be set; the inclination
is adjustable. A second person is needed to remove the
headrest. The pressure points must be detected under
the cover by feel and be pressed simultaneously (see
fig. 31). Now the second person can pull the headrest
out upwards.
