key again when the display shows 24: will programme
the clock to show a 24-hour display. Pressing the key
when the display shows 12: will result in a 12-hour dis-
play.
Next, the hours and minutes can be set. The time digits
automatically advance one after the other. Press the yel-
low key when the desired digits are showed on the dis-
play.
Setting the Total Mileage
The mode for the total mileage counter lets you switch
from a mileage to kilometre display and enter the wheel
circumference. To do so, press the yellow key for at least
2 seconds and then again press the key to select between
the alternating displays (km/h and m/h). The wheel cir-
cumference can be calculated on the basis of the wheel
size and can be set in the same way the clock is.
Example for a wheel size of 14 inches:
Conversion from
14" x 25.4 = 355.6 mm
inches to cm
C = d x π
355.6 mm x 3.1416 = 1 117 mm

8.6.2 LcD Module with Infrared
The LCD module with infrared offers the possibility to
control any kind of infrared devices using the joystick (see
fig. 37).

Standard household and HIFI devices can be saved into
the control unit with a learning mode. Switches or dim-
mers are offered as accessories.
