activated and deactivated by pressing the "direction indi-
cator, right" or "direction indicator, left" keys respectively.
The direction indicators automatically go out after 20 sec-
onds.
LcD Display
The LCD display is the communication interface between
the user and the control unit. It indicates the selected
speed level, the remaining battery capacity, the status of
electric options and special functions as well as warn-
ings and errors. During the start phase, all display sym-
bols are visible.
7.3.2 Switching On and Off

Danger to life if the brake fails to function!
The brake release lever must be locked when
using the power wheelchair. The automatic
brakes must be operational and functional.

Risk of accident as a result of insufficient or
excessive tyre pressure!
The power wheelchair must be visually
checked every time before it is used to make
sure that the tread depth is sufficient and that
C1000
the tyres are inflated to the correct tyre pres-
sure. Incorrect tyre pressure reduces the tyres'
service life and makes the wheelchair's driving
behaviour worse.
The control unit of the power wheelchair is switched on
and off by pressing the on/off key (see fig. 14, item 5).
If the control is not used for some time, the wheelchair is
switched off automatically. It is also possible to switch off
the power wheelchair with the on/off key during driving.
In this case, the wheelchair brakes immediately until it
stops.
nOTE!
Every time you switch on the control system,
it will return to the previously selected speed
level.
7.3.3 "Drive" function

Risk of injury if the power wheelchair gets out
of control!
Switch off the controls on the power wheel-
chair whenever you do not need them. This will
prevent you from unintentionally activating the
joystick.
