must be in the upright position. It is helpful to slightly
tilt the seat to the rear when driving down inclines or
obstacles.
Driving over obstacles such as steps or curbs is
only allowed at reduced speed (max. 3 km/h /
1.9 m/h). Always approach obstacles at a right
angle and cross over them without stopping.
Manoeuvring is only allowed at a reduced speed.
To lift the wheelchair, grasp it by frame components
only! Never grasp the footrests or armrests to lift the
wheelchair.
The power wheelchair can be equipped with a lift
seat function. The following particularities must be
observed when using the lift seat function:
The lift seat function may only be used on horizon-
tal ground and only with the backrest set to a
vertical position.
The seat function actuators are not designed for
continuous operation but for short-term loads only
(10% operation, 90% idle time). General recom-
mendation: At maximum load, 10 seconds of
operation should be followed by 90 seconds of
idle time. In this regard, the electric seat functions
are considered independently of the driving
function.
C1000
The lift seat may be loaded with a maximum of
100 kg / 220 lbs. It is possible to have the C1000
retrofitted for a maximum load of 200 kg / 440 lbs.
When using the lift seat function, no unauthorised
persons may be present in the danger area. There
must not be any interfering objects or obstacles in
the lifting area.
All attendants must be informed that there are
pinch points caused by the construction in the
area between the seat frame and wheelchair
frame. Users and attendants must not reach into
the danger zone.
The lift seat function may not be used in cases of
defects or malfunctions.
If the wheelchair does not switch to creep speed
as soon as the lift seat function is activated,
immediately contact a specialist dealer. The
power wheelchair may only be used with the seat
in its lowest position until the fault is repaired.
The controls of the power wheelchair are protected
according to protective system IP 54 and can thus
be used in bad weather (e. g. rain). The controls are
approved for indoor and outdoor operation and
meet the requirements regarding environment and
splashed water.
