14.7 Virtual servo amplifier function

This function executes the operation virtually without connecting servo amplifiers
(regarded as connected) by setting "1" in servo amplifier setting parameter "[Pr.101]
Virtual servo amplifier setting". The synchronous control with virtually input command
is possible by using the virtual servo amplifier axis as servo input axis of synchronous
control. Also, it can be used as simulation operation for axes without servo amplifiers.
The details shown below explain about the "Virtual servo amplifier function".

[1] Control details [RJ010 mode]
(1) The virtual servo amplifier function can be used by the following methods.
(a) When the virtual servo amplifier is used, do not set the axis (station)
as use station in the network parameter of GX Works2.
(b) When "1" is set in "[Pr.101] Virtual servo amplifier setting" set in the
flash ROM, it operates as virtual servo amplifier immediately after
power supply ON. (However, when the station is set as use station in
the network parameter of GX Works2, the error "Virtual servo amplifier
setting error" (error code: 1004) will occur and the READY signal [X0]
will not be turned ON if the PLC READY signal [Y0] is turned OFF to
ON.)
(c) When other than "1" is set in "[Pr.101] Virtual servo amplifier setting"
set in the flash ROM, it does not operate as virtual servo amplifier
even if "1" is set in "[Pr.101] Virtual servo amplifier setting" of buffer
memory after power supply ON and the PLC READY signal [Y0] is
turned OFF to ON.
(d) The servo amplifier is not recognized even if the actual servo amplifier
is connected to axis (station) set as virtual servo amplifier.
(e) When the virtual servo amplifier is set in the system setting of GX
Works2, "0: Disabled (used in incremental system)" is set in "Absolute
position detection system (PA03)".
Set "1: Enabled (absolute position detection system)" to the buffer
memory to use as absolute position system.
(f)
The virtual servo amplifier operates with "0: MR-J4-B-RJ010
communication mode" even if "1: Communication mode correspond to
CiA402" is set in "[Pr.132] Communication mode setting".
POINT
Do not make to operate by switching between the actual servo amplifier and virtual
servo amplifier. When the station is set as use station in the network parameter of
GX Works2, the servo amplifier cannot be used as virtual servo amplifier even if the
"[Pr.101] Virtual servo amplifier setting" of buffer memory is changed after power
supply ON and then the PLC READY signal [Y0] is turned OFF to ON.
