1. Pilot screw
Idle Speed
Warm up engine;
using a digital inductive
tachometer (P/N 529 014 500), adjust idle speed
to 1700 ± 100 RPM by turning idle speed screw.
CAUTION: Do not attempt to set the idle speed
by using the pilot screw.

Connect an exhaust analyze. Refer to manufactur-
er's instructions concerning the proper procedure.
The recommended CO value is 1.0~1.5%.
Make sure idle speed and CO are in the recom-
mended values when engine speed is stable. If
idle speed and CO values are fluctuating, repeat
the adjustment procedures as described above.

FUEL FILTER

Removal
Turn fuel valve to OFF position.
Install a small hose pincher (P/N 295 000 076) on
fuel line then disconnect the fuel line from carbu-
retor.

Unplug fuel line (between filter and valve) from

fuel valve.

Remove fuel filter from vehicle.
Installation
The installation is the reverse of the removal pro-
cedure.
FUEL VALVE
Inspection
To check if the valve works correctly, turn it to OFF
position and unplug from fuel valve, the fuel line
going to fuel filter.
