B.12 Connecting to the electricity source
The mass spectrometer requires a separate, grounded electricity source. The ground connection
in the electrical outlet must be common and connected near the system.
To connect to the electricity source:
Recommendation:
optimum long-term input voltage stability.
Warning:
HAR-type (or better) cords in Europe. The power cords must be replaced only with
ones of adequate rating. For information regarding which cord to use in other countries,
contact your local Waters distributor.
1. Connect the female end of the power cord to the receptacle on the rear panel of the mass
spectrometer.
2. Connect the male end of the mass spectrometer power cord to a suitable 200 to 240 V AC
wall outlet.
B.13 Connecting the camera for the NanoLockSpray source
or ionKey source
The camera for both the NanoLockSpray and ionKey source is connected to the workstation PC
by means of a USB converter.
