3. Remove the nickel gasket from the probe tip.

Warning:
To avoid spreading contamination with biologically hazardous, toxic, and
corrosive materials, dispose of all waste materials according to local environmental
regulations.
4. Dispose of the nickel gasket in accordance with local environmental regulations.
5. If the probe tip is damaged, dispose of it in accordance with local environmental
regulations, and continue this procedure with a new ESI probe tip.
6. Insert the new nickel gasket into the ESI probe tip so that the gasket is seated around the
narrow, stainless steel tube inside the probe tip.
