3.5.2 Changing the oil in axes 5 and 6 gearboxes

Filling oil, wrist unit
The procedure below details how to fill oil in the gearboxes in the wrist unit.

Turn off all:
electric power supply
hydraulic pressure supply
air pressure supply
to the robot, before entering the robot working
area.
WARNING
Handling gearbox oil involves several safety
risks. Before proceeding, please read the
safety information in the section
during work with gearbox lubricants (oil or
grease) on page
36.
Remove the oil plug, draining and filling.
Position the robot as shown in the figure to the
right:
upper arm: downwards for a standing
robot
axis 4: 90º, to a position where the oil
plug (A), faces upwards.
Fill oil in the wrist unit through the oil plug.
Refit the oil plug.
