Transfer the protective duct to the new fan unit and secure it by tightening the
locking screws.

Reattach the power cable to the pass-through connector on the bottom of the
enclosure.

Align the external cooling fan as shown in Figure 3-21, and slide it into the
chassis until the locking screw makes contact with the bottom of the enclosure.

Fully tighten the locking screw.

Replace the cable cover on the bottom of the enclosure.
Use the following procedure to restore power to the external fan, and synchronize it
with the internal fan in the cooling module.

Fully loosen the locking screw for the cooling module, containing the internal
fan. (See Figure 3-20 on page 3-27)

Grasp the extraction handle on the cooling module and pull only enough to
separate the module from its power connector in the back of the mounting bay.

Reattach the power cable for the external cooling fan to its power connection on
the cooling module.

Press the cooling module firmly into place until it is fully seated

Fully tighten the locking screw on the lower right side of the front of the cooling
module.
