5.4 3G/GSM Communication

5.4.1 Starting 3G/GSM Communication

Insert a registered SIM card and run a Wireless WAN application.

5.4.2 Usage Precautions

1. Keep the BHT at least 22 cm apart from the position where a cardiac pacemaker is implanted.
Radio waves emitted by the BHT may interfere with pacemaker function.
2. Follow instructions given by medical institutions when using the BHT in hospitals or near medical
equipment. Turn off the BHT or disconnect all wireless connections* by using each wireless network
management application in places where the use of the BHT is prohibited by medical institutions such as
operating rooms, intensive care units and coronary care units.
*Refer to "4.5. Wireless Network Settings", "4.6. Bluetooth Manager" and "4.7. WWAN Manager" for
details on how to disconnect each wireless connection.
3. Turn off the BHT or disconnect all wireless connections by using each wireless network management
application in crowded places such as packed trains in which there may be a person with a cardiac
pacemaker nearby.
Radio waves emitted by the BHT may interfere with pacemaker function.
Turn off the BHT or disconnect all wireless connections by using each wireless network management
application on airplanes.
Failure to follow instruction may cause malfunction in electric devices resulting in serious accident.
