The following methods can also be used to import or export the registry.
Registry file (*.reg)
The registry file (*.reg) can also be used to import the registry.
To use the registry file (*.reg), follow the steps below.
1. Double tap the registry file.
The popup confirmation message is displayed.
2. Tap the "Yes" button to start installing the registry.
The popup message "Import succeed" is displayed after the
registry installation is completed.
- Note - The above popup messages are not displayed if the
registry file name starts with '_' (underline).
(Similar to the command line "/H" option)
Command prompt (CMD)
The command prompt can be used to import or export the registry from or to the registry file.
(This method is used to import the registry defined in Chapter 2, 2.6.6 Reinstalling data after reset/full
reset - [4] Execute program automatically and/or reset.)
To use the command prompt, follow the steps below.
The following file and folder names are used in the steps below.
Registry file
Registry file deployment folder
Registry import batch file
Description content
1. Deploy the registry file "setup.reg" in the registry file deployment folder "\Flash\Setup\Regfile".

2. Create the registry import batch file "regset.bat" and deploy in the "\Flash\Setup" folder.

3. Open the "Startup Config" by tapping,
"BHTSHELL" icon on the desk top > "3:SystemProperties" button > "Startup Config" icon.
4. In the "General" tab, check both boxes "Setup Launcher" and "Reboot after Setup".

5. Reset the BHT.
The "regset.bat" in the "\Flash\Setup\Regfile" folder starts up to import the registry,
then the BHT is reset (cold boot).
