4.7.4 Security

Tap the "Security" tab in the WWAN manager.
The screen on the right is displayed.
"PIN Authentication" button :
(This button is displayed until the SIM card PIN1/PUK1 is entered.)
Enable SIM PIN :
Change PIN1 :
(This button is displayed while the SIM PIN is enabled.)
If a wrong PIN1 is entered 3 times, the WWAN manager will prompt for the PUK1.
- Note -
Enter the PUK1 and a new PIN1.
If a wrong PUK1 is entered 10 times, the SIM card will be locked permanently.
In this case, contact your internet service provider.
The number of remaining attempts to enter the correct PIN1 or PUK1 will be displayed
on each PIN1/PUK1 entry screen.
[1] Enable SIM PIN
Enabling the SIM PIN prevents unauthorized use of the SIM card.
The WWAN manager prompts for the PIN1 when the WWAN module is
turned ON, when SIM PIN is enabled.
Network connection cannot be established until the PIN1 is entered.
Follow the steps below to enable or disable the SIM PIN.
1. To enable the SIM PIN, check the "Enable SIM PIN" check box.
To disable the SIM PIN, uncheck the "Enable SIM PIN" check box.
2. Enter the PIN then tap the "OK" button.
