Configuring the Number of
Installed Input and Output Ports
The VS-3232DN-EM
After installing or removing a module, the
configuration. Refer to
before manually setting the number of input and output ports.
To set the number of input or output ports:
1. Press ESC, ENT and LOCK together.

2. Press ENT.

Test Board: 1
The number of input and output ports can only be set in units of two, for example, 4 x 4, 16 x
4 or 12 x 16.
3. Using the numeric keys, enter the number of input and output ports installed.
The TAKE button flashes.
4. Press TAKE.
The number of installed ports is saved and the display reverts to the output/input display.
5. Reboot the device by turning the power off and then on again.
If you customized the number of displayed ports before installing a new module, you may
need to re-customize the displayed ports to reflect your hardware change.
