1 On a frozen 2D image or M Mode sweep, tap Calcs.
If this control is hidden, tapping More Controls displays it.
2 On the EF or LV calculation list, tap the name of the first measurement you want to take.
3 Position the calipers by dragging.
4 If you want to take additional measurements, tap either of the following and then position the calipers:
Next to advance to the next item in the calculation list.
The measurement name in the calculation list.
If you need to redo a measurement, select the measurement name and tap
5 Tap under the measurement name to save the measurement.
To measure End-Diastolic and End-Systolic Areas (EDA and ESA)
You may use these measurements to calculate fractional area change (FAC).
1 On a frozen 2D image, tap Calcs.
If this control is hidden, tapping More Controls displays it.
2 On the calculation list, tap FAC.
3 Do the following for each measurement:
a Drag the caliper to the desired start position.
After lifting your finger from the screen, a pencil icon appears, indicating that the start location is set
and you can begin your trace.
b Use your finger to trace the area.
To make a correction, trace backward on the dotted line.
c Complete the trace by lifting your finger from the screen.
The trace closes automatically.

e To save the calculation, tap
