SNMP Interface

The Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) is an application-layer protocol designed to facilitate
the exchange of management information between network devices. The CDM-570/570L SNMP agent
supports both SNMPv1 and v2c.
For proper SNMP operation, the CDM-570/570L MIB files must be used with the
associated version of the CDM-570/570L base modem M&C. Please refer to the
CDM-570/570L SW Release Notes for information on the required FW/SW
IMPORTANT
compatibility.

Management Information Base (MIB) Files
MIB files are used for SNMP remote management and consist of Object Identifiers (OID's). Each
OID is a node that provides remote management of a particular function. A MIB file is a tree of nodes
that is unique to a particular device.

products and consists of only the following OID:

MIB file consists of all of the OID's for management of the modem functions
Trap MIB file is provided for SNMPv1 traps common for base modems.
Provided for management of the CDM-570L BUC and LNB.
Trap MIB file is provided for SNMPv1 traps unique to CDM-570L.
