Light path diagnostics LEDs

Light path diagnostics is a system of LEDs on the control panel and on the system
board of the blade server. When an error occurs, LEDs are lit throughout the blade
server. If the control panel indicates an error, use the descriptions of the LEDs to
diagnose the problem and take corrective action.
Table 32 describes the LEDs on the system board and suggested actions for
correcting any detected problems.

v Follow the suggested actions in the order in which they are listed in the Action column until the problem is
solved.
v See Chapter 3, "Parts listing, Type 7998," on page 235 to determine which components are CRUs and which
components are FRUs.
v If an action step is preceded by "(Trained service technician only)," that step must be performed only by a
trained service technician.
