AUPC

The AUPC function allows each of two modems in a closed link to control the output of
the other modem. Both modems must have the AUPC options enabled. These options are:
AUPC ENABLE
NOMINAL POWER
MINIMUM POWER
MAXIMUM POWER
TARGET NOISE
TRACKING RATE
LOCAL CL ACTION
REMOTE CL ACTION
With AUPC enabled on both modems (A and B), if modem A loses carrier:
1. Modem A sets its output power (MAXIMUM, MINIMUM, OR HOLD) as
2. Modem A then sends a "lost carrier" command to modem B.
3. Modem B sets its output power (MAXIMUM, MINIMUM, OR HOLD) as
