Selects the following types of modem operation:

Closed Network Operation
When the modem is changed from one type of operation to another, the
modem will be reset to the default configurations of the new modem type. The
RF-IF Output must be turned on to get the modem to lock. If the existing
modem type is the same as the type entered, the modem will not change any
parameters. If the modem type is changed to Custom, no parameters will be
changed. If the modem will not allow the modem type selection, that type of
operation may not be an available option. Select MODEM OPTIONS and
OVERHEAD OPTIONS to see which modem operations are allowed. Refer to
Section 3.2.1 for additional modem type information.
Note: D&I is designed to work with the G.703 interface only.
Use caution when modifying the Custom Type. This type
accepts all changes to the modem, including incompatible
parameter changes. Only experienced modem operators who

are familiar with all of the controls should use Custom type.
