7-105 Tray 1 Misfeed
The Tray 1 Feed Out Sensor does not detect paper after feeding from Tray 1.
Initial Actions
•
Check condition and specification of paper in Tray 1.
•
Check the paper path for obstructions.
•
Check for wear and clean the Tray 1 Feed Roll, Takeaway Roll and the Pinch Roll.
Procedure
Open the Left Lower Cover

unblock the Tray 1 Feed Out Sensor

Press Stop. Check the circuit of the Tray 1 Feed Out Sensor

RAP for troubleshooting procedure.
Press Stop and close the Left Lower Cover. Enter
1 Feed/Lift Motor
(PL
2.4) energizes.

Press Stop. Check the circuit of the Tray 1 Feed/Lift Motor
from the I/F PWB to the Tray 1 Feed/Lift Motor for an open circuit. If the wires are good,
replace the Tray 1 Feed/Lift Motor

Check the Tray 1 Feed / Lift Motor and its associated gears
ination or misalignment.
•
Ensure that the Tray 1 Chute

2.3) is properly seated and not damaged.
•
Ensure that the connectors shown in the circuit diagrams

If these checks are OK, replace the I/F PWB
•
If the problem persists, replace the MCU PWB
