Configuring system time

System time overview

You must configure a correct system time so that the device can work with other devices properly. System
time allows you to display and set the device system time and system zone on the web interface.
The device supports setting system time through manual configuration and automatic synchronization of
NTP server time.
Defined in RFC 1305, the Network Time Protocol (NTP) synchronizes timekeeping among distributed
time servers and clients. NTP can keep consistent timekeeping among all clock-dependent devices within
the network and ensure a high clock precision so that the devices can provide diverse applications based
on consistent time.
