Configuring basic device settings

Overview

The device basic information feature provides the following functions:
Set the system name of the device. The configured system name is displayed on the top of the
navigation bar.
Set the idle timeout period for logged-in users. The system logs an idle user off the web for security
purpose after the configured period.

Configuring system name

Select Device > Basic from the navigation tree.

The system name configuration page appears.

Enter the system name.

Click Apply.

Configuring idle timeout period

Select Device > Basic from the navigation tree.

Click the Web Idle Timeout tab.

The page for configuring idle timeout period appears.
