Document Jams

If a document jam occurs in the ADF, the "Document jam. Please check the
blinking cover." message is displayed on the screen.
Remove the document carefully by the following procedure.
IMPORTANT
If you cannot easily pull out the document, do not force it. Turn the dial to discharge
the document. If you try to force or pull too hard on the document, it could tear.

Pull up the ADF cover release lever (A1) to open the ADF cover.

Remove the jammed document.
If you still cannot remove the document, proceed to step 3.

Turn the dial (A2) to discharge the jammed document.
