Copy Procedure
Basic copy
NOTE
• T he default copy settings are as follows: Zoom 100%, Paper: Auto, Document
type: Text, Contrast: Normal, Sort: OFF.
• W hen paper is set to auto, paper is automatically selected according to the
document size. The selected paper sizes are A3, B4, A4, A4 , B5, B5 , A5, or
A5 . Other paper sizes are not automatically selected. When you select paper
manually, press [Paper] to select the cassette or bypass tray in which your
desired paper is loaded (page 2-9).
• W hen "Copy Mode (Prohibition)" (page 8-38) is set, you cannot copy.

Press <Copy>.
Load your document on the document glass or the ADF.
•
For details on loading documents, refer to "Loading Documents" (page
1-59).
Set each copy setting as necessary.
•
I n basic functions, you can set the paper selection, zoom, scanning
quality, scanning contrast and sort. For details on setting each
function, refer to "Basic Functions" (pages 2-8 to 2-16).
•
W hen you use the advanced functions (combine copy, series copy,
repeat copy, mix copy, margin, erase center, duplex copy, booklet
copy, card copy), press <Menu> to select the desired function. For
details on setting each function, refer to "Advanced Functions" (pages
2-17 to 2-49).
Enter the number of copies using the numeric keys.

Y ou can set from 1 to 999. Without setting the number of copies, one
copy is made.
•
If you make an incorrect entry, overwrite it with the correct entry.
