Using the scanner function

In the scan mode, scanned images are stored into a "Scan Box" inside the
machine.
To import the scanned images from the scan box into your PC, install the
scanner driver included on the accompanying CD-ROM on your PC, and use a
TWAIN-compliant Windows application.
To install the driver, refer to "Installation Manual" or Chapter 1, "Installation"
of "Printer and Scanner Driver Manual".
• " P rinter and Scanner Driver Manual" is included on the accompanying
CD-ROM.

How to scan

Press <Scan>.

Load your document on the document glass or the ADF.
For details on how to load documents, refer to "Loading Documents"
(page 1-59).

Set the scan settings as necessary.
• Press [Doc.Type] to select the scanning quality.
• To adjust the scan contrast, press [Contrast].
• To change the scan size, press [], [Resol.].
• To adjust the scan magnification, press [], [ScanSize].
• To change the scan magnification, press <Menu>, [Zoom].

Press [Scan Box].

Select a scan box (01 to 20) using the cursor keys and press [Enter].

Press <Start>.
The scanned document is stored into the selected scan box.
To import the scanned document into your PC, refer to "Importing a
scanned document into the PC" (page 7-3).
