ID Check Transmission

Setting the ID check transmission

The ID check transmission function compares the lower four digits of the
fax number you dialed with those registered in the destination machine.
Transmission is allowed only when the numbers match.
This reduces the trouble of sending faxes to the wrong destination due to line
errors, etc.
NOTE
• B efore setting the ID check transmission function, you need to register a protect
passcode (page 8-33).
• E ven if you set the ID check transmission function to ON, you can set it to OFF
only for one transmission in the case of advanced communications.

Press <Menu>, <5>, <0>, <9>, [Enter].
Enter the protect passcode using the numeric keys and press [Enter].
Select "ID check Tx" using the cursor keys and press [Enter].
Security function
ID check Tx :Off
Check broadcast dest.:Off
Dial double-push :Off
Close Enter
Select "On" to set the ID check transmission, "Off" not to set; then
press [Enter].
ID check Tx
Off
On
Cancel Enter
Press [Close] to return to the standby screen.
Default: Off
