1. <Copy>/<Fax>/<Scan>
P ress this to switch the screen mode; copy,
fax and scan.
2. <Energy Save>
P ress this to switch to the energy save
mode or cancel it. It illuminates in green or
red during the energy save mode. (Refer to
"Energy save mode", page 1-21)
3. <Contrast>
P ress this to change the contrast of LCD.
Every time you press this key, the contrast
of LCD changes.
4. Alarm lamp
Illuminates when an error occurs.
5. Memory Receive lamp
I lluminates when data is saved in memory,
for example, when paper runs out.
6. Communication lamp
Illuminates when communicating.
7. <Online>
P ress this to make the printer function
offline. During offline, you cannot receive
the print data.
8. <Menu>
P ress this to set advanced functions or each
entry.

9. Cursor keys
O ften used when you select the function
displayed in LCD or move the cursor, etc.
W hen you press the upper cursor key on
the fax standby screen, the redial screen is
displayed. The destinations for the last 10
fax transmissions and phone calls are kept
in memory (page 3-12).
W hen you press the lower cursor key on the
fax standby screen, the address book screen
is displayed. You can specify an address
from registered names (page 3-8).
10. <Reset>
P ress this to cancel the operation or cancel
the setting to return to the default setting.
11. <Voice Guidance>
P ress this to hear how to correct a paper
jam or an explanation of a function by
audio message. This key blinks while the
voice guidance is given or when the voice
guidance is available.
12. Touch panel keys
Y ou can directly touch the screen to
operate.
13. <Job Confirm./Fax Cancel>
P ress this to stop or check the fax
transmission.
