Cause
The document glass is dirty.
The rear side of the duplex
printed document is
printed.
The document pad is dirty.
Check if you are not copying
onto paper larger than the
document (when the ratio is
set to 100%).
Check if the directions of
a document and paper are
same.
Not reduced in the
magnification to match the
paper size.
A document is not loaded
properly.
A loaded document is not
appropriate for the ADF.
Check if there is no foreign
object on the document
glass.
Paper is not loaded
properly.
Countermeasure
Clean the document glass.
For duplex copies of a
thin document, the rear
side of the document may
be scanned and printed
onto the front side of the
document. Lighten the
contrast in [Contrast].
Clean the document pad.
Select paper that is the
same size as the document.
Select the paper in the
same direction. Or, match
the document direction to
the paper direction.
Reduce in the magnification
to match the paper size.
Load the document
correctly.
Use the document that can
be loaded on the ADF.
Clean the document glass.
Load paper properly.
