Warning / Error Messages

If some trouble occurs, the buzzer sounds and the display shows a corresponding error message.
Take an appropriate remedy for the displayed error.

Cause
The front cover or the maintenance
cover is opened.
The media has not been detected.
The motor is OFF after the cover was
opened etc.
An ink error occurred.
Data was received.
Cause
Ink errors (unusable ink) occur in multi-
ple ink bottles.
Ink supply (print, cleaning, etc.) cannot
be performed.
The waste ink tank is full.
The waste ink tank is nearly full.
The waste ink tank is not set.
Time to replace the wiper in the cap-
ping station with a new one has come.
(The wiping count has reached the
specified value.)
The media is not set.
The sensor has been broken.
The data has been received.
The value of the negative pressure
sensor is abnormal.
Solution
• Check the front cover and maintenance covers.
• If the same error message appears again even
after closing all the covers, contact your local
distributor to call for service.
• Perform media detection.
• Close the front cover and maintenance covers
(right and left).
• Check the ink bottle for the supply path corre-
sponding to the indicated color.
• Perform data clear. (

Solution
• Press the
key to check the ink bottle
generating the warning.
Replace them with usable ink bottles.
• Check the waste ink tank.
• Set the waste ink tank.
• Press the
MAINT.
key and replace the wiper
with a new one. (
P.4-26)
• Set the media. (
P.2-10) If the same error
message appears again, contact your local dis-
tributor to call for service.
• Press the
key to perform printing.
Or, perform data clear.
• Perform "PRESSURE ADJUST" (
the maintenance. If you cannot adjust it to the
normal value, or, even if you perform, it may be
displayed, contact your local distributor to call
for service.
