Take up the media

Take up the fed media on the empty paper core.

Set the empty paper core on the take-up unit.
• Set the empty paper core on the take-up unit in the same way as the setting of the roll shaft of the
feeding unit.
• The empty paper core with radial thickness of 5mm and more is recommended.
• If radial thickness of the paper core is not enough, take-up may not be performed properly because the
paper core may be broken or bent in the middle of take-up.

Fix the media on the empty paper core.
• Feed the media until it conflicts with the empty paper core
and fix it on the paper core with adhesive tape.
• When you fix the media on the empty paper

Wind the media by operating the [TAKE-UP
MANUAL] lever on the front control panel.
• Wind the media making going round at least twice to
prevent the media from falling from the paper core.
