The RIP Station 5000
• Replace the motherboard battery
• Replace the motherboard
• Check DIMMs.
• If this does not correct the
problem, you may need to
replace the motherboard.
• If all other Ethernet tests pass,
there may be a problem with the
network. Ask the network
administrator at the customer
site to connect a functioning
printer to that node in the
network.
• If the printer does work, there
may be a problem with the
RIP Station 5000 Ethernet
connection and you may need to
replace the RIP Station 5000's
motherboard.
• If the printer doesn't work, there
may be something wrong with
the network.
• Check connections.
• Replace cable.
• Replace HDD.
• Check the diagnostic report to
determine the faulty DIMM (see
"Viewing the diagnostic report"
on page 5-18).
• When you locate the faulty
DIMM, reseat the DIMM in its
socket.
• If the problem persists, insert the
DIMM strip into the other
socket.
• If it fails in that location, replace
it.
• Ignore - Factory use only
• Replace the motherboard.
