Fans
Fans
Two fans run continuously when the RIP Station 5000 is on. They pull warm air from
inside the unit and blow it out of the unit through the back of the chassis. You should
hear the fans start as soon as you power on the RIP Station 5000. If you don't hear the
fans, the most likely problem is a faulty power connection. The fans connect to the
motherboard at connectors J18 and J28. They are mounted on a metal bracket attached
to the device side of the center frame.
