Chapter 76. System Settings configuration mode

This chapter provides an alphabetic list of commands for System Settings
configuration mode.
To enter this configuration mode, use the Global system command.
Most, but not all, of the commands in "Common commands" on page 2 and in
Chapter 114, "Monitoring commands," on page 949 are available in this
configuration mode.

audit-reserve

Reserves disk space for the audit log.
Syntax
audit-reserve kilobytes

Guidelines
The audit-reserve command specifies the amount of disk space in kilobytes to
reserve for the audit log. Use this command to alter the amount of disk space to
reserve to prevent the loss of audit events in case of a full disk. This function is
disabled if the value is 0.
If the appliance is forced to release the audit reserve:

that the disk space for audit events is low.
Before restoring the appliance to service, a privileged administrator needs to free
up disk space. When there is enough available disk space for normal operations,
the administration can restart the appliance, which will resume the processing of
traffic.

Identifies the person or function responsible for appliance maintenance.

Specifies the amount of disk space in kilobytes to reserve for the audit log.
The reserve space must be at least four kilobytes less than the total amount
of free space that is currently available on the file system. The value 0
indicates that the reserve function is disabled. Use an integer in the range
of 0 through 10000. The default is 40.
