Rear Lift Cylinder

Removing the Rear Lift Cylinder

1. Park the machine on a level surface, engage the parking brake, set the key
switch to the O
position and remove the key from the switch.

2. Remove any rear attachment and support the rear attachment frame.
3. Carefully disconnect the extension spring from the RH lift arm. Discard the
cotter pin.
4. Read and adhere to the information provided in
Removing and Installing the Hydraulic System Components (page
5. Clean the area around the hydraulic hose and fitting connections.
6.
Disconnect the hydraulic hoses from the cylinder. Cap or plug the
disconnected hydraulic hoses and fittings to prevent hydraulic system
contamination.
7. Remove the cylinder pin and remove the cylinder form the rear frame of
the machine.
8. If necessary, record the locations and orientations of the fittings for assembly
purposes then remove the hydraulic fittings from the cylinder.
9. Remove and discard all the O-rings from the hydraulic hoses, and fittings
that were disconnected or removed.
