2. Ensure that the operator platform and operator presence switch actuator
moves freely.
3. The gap between the switch actuator and the sensing zone of the switch
should be no greater than 10 mm (0.40 inch) when there is no weight on the
operator platform. Loosen the switch bracket mounting fasteners to adjust
the gap if necessary.
4. Disconnect the wire harness connector from the switch. Check the switch
and the harness connector for damage or corrosion and clean or repair
if necessary.
5. Use a multimeter to check the main wire harness connector.

6. If the harness wires test correctly and the operator presence indicator on the
hour meter/controller does not function, replace the switch.
7. Test the operator presence switch operation before returning the machine to
service.
